The Princeton Review has selected Lakeland’s Florida Southern College as the #9 “Most Beautiful College Campus” in the U.S. in their 2011 edition of the popular college guidebook. Florida Southern was listed right after Princeton University (#8) and ahead of the only other Florida college in the Top 20, Rollins College (#12). Surely being the largest one-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture didn’t hurt FSC in the rankings and the setting on the shores of Lake Hollingsworth must have played a part as well. According to the Princeton Review, the “Most Beautiful Campus” distinction is an indicator of quality of life in and around the campus. Florida Southern has consistantly been listed as a top school by Princeton Review in their annual rankings of best schools. Now they can add most beautiful to the list as well! In case you are wondering… Suwanee-The University of the South, in Tennesse, was ranked #1.
