Polk County’s official visitor information center, Polk Outpost 27, will help visitors welcome the Fall Season this year with its fourth annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 23 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. There will be a bounce house, obstacle course, free candy bag, costume parade, craft and food vendors, games, movies and of course, a pumpkin decorating contest with three age categories (3-9 years old; 10-15 years old and 16 years to adult). Pumpkin entries will be accepted on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22, from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  All pumpkins will be on display through judging which begins on Saturday, October 23 during the Fall Festival.  Winners will be announced between 4:00-4:30 p.m.  All entrants will receive a consolation prize, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes awarded for total entries.
