Beat the Heat This July at The Lakeland Center
Posted on July 3rd, 2012 by Rebecca Thompson
Summer is officially here, and needless to say, it’s hot outside! Luckily, we have an idea on keeping cool this month, and this non-traditional summer activity is one you won’t have to sweat over.
Now through July 15, The Lakeland Center will offer public ice skating daily. Beginning today, the grounds of Jenkins Arena will transform from the typical dry surface into a slick ice-covered skate-zone. With weekday hours from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. and weekend hours from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., July is actually the perfect time to get moving and make some glides around the ice rink.
Enjoy this cool summer fun with inexpensive rates that include $7 for adults, $6 for children (ages 2-12) and $5 with your own ice skates. Parents who are not skating and wish to watch their child are not required to purchase a ticket.
Instead of sitting around the house, debating what to do this month, stop by the Lakeland Center for an ice-skating outing! It’s a perfect solution for some afternoon fun and a great trip idea for groups too with discounts including: $1 off each person with 10 or more people, special meal & snack packages and free parking.
Summer times are as follows:
Weekdays & Saturday
