Gary’s Oyster Bar is the place to be if you are an oyster enthusiast or seafood lover. If you are not convinced, try it out for yourself! With over 30 years of experience serving up seafood in Central Florida, Gary’s is the oldest oyster bar in Polk County.

While specializing in fresh, broiled, steamed and fried seafood, Gary’s is also well-known for their homemade cocktail sauce and salad dressings. All of the food is made to order and battered onsite, which means no pre-breaded seafood here.

When ordering oysters, the bar is by far the best place to sit. Here, you can watch the staff shuck them right in front of you. Plus, the bar is the only place where you can order a bucket of oysters when a dozen is just not enough.

Aside from oysters, Gary’s carries all of the traditional seafood favorites, along with gator, crawfish and frog legs and offers daily specials as well. For all non-seafood fans and meat-lovers, prime rib and steak are menu options created just for you.

Don’t be surprised to find some of the friendliest staff when dining here. In fact, everyone encourages you to kick back and have a good time while enjoying your meal and guarantees you will not forget your visit.

Don’t worry about dressing up because this oyster bar has an informal atmosphere and is filled with eclectic decor, photos and memorabilia from the past years.

It’s an experience unmatched by others, and the crew at Gary’s Oyster Bar pride themselves as a “true Florida seafood experience that the entire family will enjoy”. Stop in at Gary’s located off Hwy17 in Lake Alfred, and look no further to discover what casual Florida dining is all about!
