Go Green at Explorations V Children Museum’s 21st Birthday X-travaganza

Get ready to party at Explorations V Children’s Museum’s 21st Birthday X-travaganza, the biggest birthday party in town and a party atmosphere full of birthday fun and entertainment! On Saturday, August 25 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., Explorations V will host “Let’s Go Green!” Birthday Bash.  The party will celebrate the museum’s 21 years of hands-on learning along with its newest exhibit, Go Green!.

Go Green! will educate visitors on the importance of recycling through interactive components. The exhibit includes stations such as a recycle home, magnetic poetry trees and a “hazardous waste” kiosk. The idea behind the new exhibit it to inspire visitors to help create a healthier lifestyle and a greener planet. The 21st Birthday X-travaganza will also feature fun, creative hands-on activities designed to promote the concept of recycling. To add to the fun, museum guests are encouraged to wear green to the party.

Also going on Saturday, August 25 is Exploration V’s discount admission promotion, “The Write Stuff”.  During the birthday event, visitors will receive a maximum of $1 off admission per person with the donation of new unopened school supplies including: pens, pencils, highlighters, markers or crayons. The museum will donate all supplies collected to support local school children in need.

All of the activities, including the new exhibit, are included with admission, and now through Labor Day, active military (with valid ID) are free.

Adults: $7
Seniors (65 & older): $3.50
Teachers (with ID): $3.50
Children (under 2): FREE
Museum members: FREE
