-First Friday is one of the most popular recurring events in Lakeland.
-Every month, on the first, people from all over converge in Downtown Lakeland for an evening of FREE family-friendly entertainment, activities, live music, art receptions, a car show, and the chance to check out a great, locally-owned restaurant or retail establishment.
-September’s theme– “Dog Days of Summer” – Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital is sponsoring this First Friday, and it is going to the dogs!
-You and your dog can join the Pooch Parade, or come in costume and compete for prizes, while visiting the vendors set up around you.

“Bark” Tower Gardens’ Dog Days of Summer

Venue:
Bok Tower Gardens–Lake Wales
-Bring your leashed and friendly dogs for a stroll in the Gardens on this special day as Bok supports the Humane Society of Polk County.
-Judges will select the cutest, most unusual, owner look-a-like, most talented and best kisser. Dog grooming tips, health and safety, and adoption information will be available.

Bartow Antiques Fair

Saturday, September 8
Venue: Main Street–Downtown Bartow
-Come see what treasures and history you can find from the antique dealers’ collections at this FREE antiques fair.
-The Bartow Antiques Fair takes place on the second Saturday of the month.

Margarita Run
Date:
Saturday, September 8
Venue: Railroad Park–Downtown Haines City
-The Haines City Margarita Run, a 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk, will benefit the Haines City Main Street.
-At the race finish, a festive sunset party with delicious food, live music and Margaritas will take place at Railroad Park for Main Street members, residents and racers.
