Bev Hendricks retired from the U.S. Army in 1995. She worked for United Way of Central Florida from February 1996-May 1999 while completing her Bachelor of Music in violin performance at Florida Southern College. She served as Executive Director of the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra in Orlando from June 1999-March 2004 and returned to Lakeland to work as Executive Director of the Imperial Symphony Orchestra from April 2004-February 2010. She currently helps out several Polk arts organizations, helps at events and visits her grandchildren as often as possible.
