I’ve recently found out about a new theatre company in Lakeland that is planning to bring edgy, raw, and sometimes controversial productions to our area. Sounds like some good art to me! Check out my post on arts.lakelandlocal.com for more info and to learn about their first offering (that starts tonight!).

The Lakeland Center’s Jenkins Arena and Exhibit Hall will be going to the dogs this weekend as the Lakeland/Winter Haven Kennel Club holds its AKC sanctioned [...]

This is it. The last couple of days of school. The kids are hardly paying attention in class, and you’re wondering what to do with them all summer….
Well, if you haven’t made plans already, might I suggest enrolling them in one or more arts camps this summer?
Almost every arts organization in Polk County is hosting [...]

As the weather heats up, so does the entertainment factor in Central Florida this weekend. We can’t think of a better way to spend your Mothers Day Weekend than walking around Lake Morton and picking out something nice for mom. Look for a detailed post from Meredith, our Arts & Culture expert, about the Volvo Mayfaire by [...]
